  3. Darn it, I can’t get your camera out of my head since I saw it (and you) Saturday night. Now, this shot, a flashback to ‘negative’ days is making my body twitch in the direction of LL Lozeau!! Urg.

  4. Hee hee! It is a pretty sweet little camera (Lumix LX3, which is 80% Leica). It has a B&W mode (“Dynamic B&W”) that I really like, because it reminds me so much of Tri-X. Very sweet.

    Sometimes I convert to B&W in post processing (E.g., the “A Smoke & a Good Read” image), but when I know I’m going to be in a low light situation I shoot in B&W mode. It seems silly, but I think differently about the image when I *know* I’m shooting B&W. Not the same as just sort of knowing I could convert it. I wrote a post about that on my primary blog, back when I first got the camera. ( Read it here.)
